Meet Wanda

I’ve always been drawn to taking on difficult issues, cutting through confusion to find clear direction and helping people find common ground. Real progress doesn’t come from talking louder or grandstanding. It comes from steady, thoughtful work, listening closely, and making sure every resident is heard and included.

As a Severn Councillor, a communications leader in the public sector, and a longtime community volunteer, I’ve always believed government should be easier to reach, easier to understand, and grounded in common sense. Whether it’s road safety on our streets, planning for growth we can sustain, or making sure seniors aren’t left behind, I look for solutions that actually work for the people living here.

• Keeping you in the loop. Residents should be informed and part of the conversation before decisions get made, not after.
• Solving problems, not playing politics. I bring people together to break big issues into practical steps that respect the budget.
• Standing up for seniors and families. That means age-friendly programs, community well-being, and services people can actually access.
• Working well with others. Council, staff, and regional partners all have a part to play, and I focus on getting real results by working with them, not around them.
